Our approach towards this complex task involved laying almost an entirely new floor while preserving as much character from the old one as possible. To achieve this delicate balance between renewal and preservation required meticulous planning and execution.
We started by carefully salvaging any remnants from the original flooring that could be restored or reused. These pieces served as critical references for recreating identical patterns during installation of fresh woodwork; ensuring continuity in style despite having largely new materials installed.
Next came choosing suitable materials for constructing a durable yet aesthetically pleasing surface capable of enduring heavy foot traffic common in bustling establishments like The Master Mariner pub. For these reasons, we opted for Bonakemi lacquers known for their superior durability coupled with Blanchon gap filling resin renowned for its excellent bonding properties.
Finally came applying finishing touches including staining & varnishing using Morrells professional wood stains followed by sealing & oiling using Osmo oils; thereby enhancing visual appeal while providing additional protective layers against wear-and-tear over time.
Result
The result was nothing short of spectacular! Despite being nearly completely replaced ,the newly laid out floor seamlessly blended into overall decor exuding same charm as before – if not more!
Moreover, the extra tough protective coating ensured longevity even amidst constant footfall making it ideal choice given busy nature surrounding environment inside pub premises.
